The ACX500 is a small rugged fanless router with throughput up to 6 Gbps. It comes with an integrated GPS receiver with software support and supports a rich set of safety, timing and synchronization features. Additionally, the ACX500 is certified for indoor and outdoor use in the utility and rail industries. It is ideal for small cells, LTE-Advanced mobile backhaul deployments, and use cases in industrial environments.
Three compact form factors are available:
ACX500 for indoor deployment
ACX500-O and ACX500-O-PoE for outdoor deployments
The temperature-hardened ACX500 indoor model offers 4 10/100/1000 Mbps copper ports and 2 1 Gbps fiber ports, and the environmentally hardened ACX500-O and ACX500-O-PoE outdoor models provide 3 copper ports and 3 fiber optic ports. Both the ACX500 and ACX500-O-PoE support Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE++) with a power budget of 80W.
The ACX500 also supports Juniper Networks Junos OS, extensive Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, IP/MPLS with traffic engineering support, rich network management, fault management, service monitoring, and operations, administration, and maintenance (OAM) functions . The Junos SDK supports easy custom provisioning and integration with third-party applications and tools.
